WattAnyWhere is proud to acknowledge the support and collaboration of OIKEN, a major energy player in the Canton of Valais, in the development and testing of our off-grid, ethanol-powered fuel cell system.
OIKEN has stood by us from the start, helping bridge key technical gaps and accelerating our development with hands-on support and access to essential infrastructure. When our own power electronics were still under development, OIKEN stepped in to support us with temporary equipment – enabling us to advance our testing timelines and prove the core functionality of our system.
Most recently, OIKEN’s EV charging station was used in a live test outside our Sion lab to validate WattAnyWhere’s system ability to deliver clean, stable energy for electric vehicle charging – one of several high-demand use cases for our genset solution. This successful test marked our passing of the second toll gate in the Shell GameChanger Accelerator, moving us next to real-world deployment.
“We are grateful for OIKEN’s continued trust and collaboration,” said Didier Roux, Chairman and CEO of WattAnyWhere. “As both a customer and partner, OIKEN is an important part of the energy transition in the region, and we’re proud to be innovating together here in Valais.”
“At OIKEN, innovation is driven by collaboration. Partnering with WattAnyWhere allows us to explore new frontiers in decentralized energy and support technologies that align with the energy transition. We’re proud to contribute to a solution that combines reliability, sustainability, and local impact.” declared Sylvia Marra, Head of Transformation and Innovation, member of OIKEN’s Executive Board.
As part of our ongoing partnership in Valais and our shared presence at the Energypolis Campus in Sion, Switzerland, we are now in discussions with OIKEN to explore a new collaborative project, further strengthening our shared commitment to advancing decentralized and sustainable energy solutions in the region.
