WattAnyWhere is excited to unveil our new partnership with Watt&Well, a leading French power electronics equipment provider. Watt&Well has been selected as our supplier to deliver the majority of the power converters essential for the electronic systems controlling our innovative fuel cell technology.
Watt&Well is renowned for designing, manufacturing, and marketing high-performance power electronics for demanding applications. Their expertise ensures that our off-grid generator’s electronic systems will be equipped with top-notch power converters, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the fuel cell technology.
Our system process involves three stages of converting renewable ethanol into electricity.
In the first stage, the renewable ethanol is chemically converted through a reformer, a specific catalyst that transforms the liquid into a mixture of gases and hydrogen.
In the second stage, this gas mixture is sent to the solid oxide fuel cell, where it is converted into electricity through electrochemical conversion. This typically produces DC with low voltage and high currents, without generating any associated pollution.
In the third stage of the system chain, the power electronics convert and condition the DC to AC with higher voltage and lower currents for the desired application. Specifically, for this third stage, we developed the design architecture of the power electronics with Professor Pierre Toussaint, a teacher at École Nationale Supérieure de l’Électronique et de ses Applications and a private consultant in power electronics designs. We selected Watt&Well to manufacture the majority of the components needed to build this electronic load.

We are honored to have Professor Pierre Toussaint from ENSEA contributing to our project. Professor Toussaint has played a key role in developing the electronic box for our demonstration model in the lab, and his guidance is essential as we advance our technology.
